How to Remove and Install Air Heater for Volvo VN Truck

This instruction show you guide on how to remove and install air heater for Volvo VN truck.Volvo 88890300


Procedures:
Remove

1.Remove the storage compartment heater shield.Volvo TechTool
2.Disconnect the wiring harness connectors.
3.Loosen hose clamps on duct work and remove
4.Remove the four parking heater mounting nuts
5.Lift the parking heater up and out from its mounting location. Disconnect fuel line, then remove from the vehicle.
6.Lift the heater out of the lower part of the jacket casing
7.Unscrew the attaching bolts that are located round the heat exchanger.
8.Lift off the fan.
9.Unscrew the flange (1) from the heat exchanger. Install new seals (2) and (3)
10.When assembling, use a new rivet.

Installation:
1.Inspect the gasket between heater and truck floor. If it will not provide a good seal, replace the gasket.
2.Install the parking heater into its mounting location.
3.Connect fuel line.
4.Install the four mounting bolts and torque to 10 ± 1 Nm (7.5 ± 0.7 ft-lb).
5.Install exhaust pipe and torque clamp.
6.Install intake pipe and torque clamp
7.Connect the two wiring harness connectors.Volvo IMPACT Download
8.Put hose clamp on duct work (supply heat &return air) and install torque clamps.
9.Install storage compartment heater shield and torque bolts and screws.
